Douglas Belts 3 HR for Indians
Thursday, August 12th , 2021
Devin Douglas brutalized the Walnut Park Bobcats pitching staff, launching three home runs in the 7-5 Dillonvale victory at Ballpark of Walnut Park. The Dillonvale Indians catcher was red-hot, the ball just exploding off his bat all day.
"I don't try to hit homers," he said later. "I try to go out there and put a good swing on the ball, and sometimes it is going to go out of the park. I didn't try to hit the first one or the second one or the third one."
For the game, he went 3-for-4 with 5 RBIs and 3 runs scored.
"Too much Devin Douglas today," Bobcats manager Hua Pian said. "That's my assessment of the game. That's what our problems boiled down to."
Devin Douglas hit a two-run home run off Cameron Outlaw in the 2nd, struck out in the 4th, hit a two-run home run off Cameron Outlaw in the 6th and hit a solo-shot off Sean Rosato in the 8th.
This year, Douglas is batting .158 with 9 home runs and 25 RBIs.
