Coon Nails 4 Homers Against Dillonvale Friday, August 2nd , 2019 Tom Coon of the Fremont Marshalls had a history-making game today against the Dillonvale Indians, clobbering 4 home runs in an awesome display of power in the 16-3 Marshalls victory. The Fremont left fielder went 5-for-5, had 9 RBIs and scored 4 times in the game. "There have been a few times when I consciously tried to hit one out," said Coon later. "It doesn't often work, but it did today for the last one. I guess this day was just meant to be." Tom Coon walked in the 1st, hit a solo-shot off Jim Unknown in the 3rd, hit a solo-shot off Jim Unknown in the 5th, hit a three-run home run off Jim Unknown in the 6th, hit a three-run home run off Jim Unknown in the 7th and hit an RBI double in the 9th. For the season Coon is currently batting .274 with 13 home runs and 42 RBIs. In 64 games he has reached base at a .355 rate and scored 33 runs to date. |
