SC Star of the Week Picked Monday, July 26th , 2021 It's always a thrill for fans of the team and students of the game alike when a superstar in the making shows what he's got. Mike Pelter, the Portland Mad Ants 23-year-old first baseman, put himself in the spotlight last week making him the clear-cut choice for Stars Conference Player of the Week honors. He ripped 7 hits in 24 at-bats, compiling a .292 average with 6 home runs and 12 RBIs. This year, Pelter is batting .314 with 19 home runs and 51 RBIs. |
