Warren Cracks 3 HR for Ghosts Friday, July 19th , 2019 It was a good day for the Laredo Ghosts and an exceptional one for Andy Warren. The 24-year-old right fielder sent three bombs out of the park to help the Ghosts beat the Chesapeake Tailgators 7-5 at Tailgators Ballpark. "When you're in the zone, the game really slows down," Warren said when asked about his performance later. "I couldn't even tell you what pitches were thrown. Today feels great, but it is a long season and tomorrow is another day." For the day, he scored 3 times, drove in 3 runs and smacked 3 hits in 6 at-bats. Andy Warren hit a solo-shot off Lance Goecker in the 2nd, grounded out in the 4th, hit a solo-shot off Lance Goecker in the 7th, hit a solo-shot off Ken Richards in the 9th, walked in the 12th, struck out in the 13th, walked in the 15th and flied out in the 16th. Warren is hitting .269 for the season with 10 home runs, 25 RBIs and 28 runs scored. He has 47 hits in 175 at-bats and played in 68 games. |
