Rayburn Blasts 3 into Bleachers Sunday, July 18th , 2021 Ben Rayburn brutalized the Lubbock Stampede pitching staff, launching three home runs in the 9-2 Nashville victory at Reagor Dykes Stadium. The Nashville Lasers first baseman was red-hot, the ball just exploding off his bat all day. "I don't try to hit homers," he said later. "I try to go out there and put a good swing on the ball, and sometimes it is going to go out of the park. I didn't try to hit the first one or the second one or the third one." For the game, he went 4-for-5 with 7 RBIs and 3 runs scored. "Too much Ben Rayburn today," Stampede manager William Maysonet said. "That's my assessment of the game. That's what our problems boiled down to." Ben Rayburn hit a solo-shot off Gerardo Lozano in the 1st, hit a two-run home run off Gerardo Lozano in the 3rd, hit a GRAND SLAM off Telma Policarpo in the 4th, flied out in the 7th and singled in the 9th. Rayburn on the season is hitting .278 with 13 home runs. His stats include 38 RBIs and 31 runs scored. |
