Lubbock's Howell Sidelined for Season Saturday, June 26th , 2021 Joe Howell has to call it a season. The Lubbock Stampede reliever sustained a season-ending injury against the Baxter Springs Marshals and will not play again this year according to club doctors. Howell was injured while throwing a pitch. His doctors diagnosed it as a torn flexor tendon in his elbow and stated that he would not be able to play for 12-13 months. Howell has nailed down no saves for the year. He has also totaled 10 strikeouts and 6 walks in 9.1 innings while registering a 5.79 ERA and a 1-1 won-lost record. |
