Justin Thompson Sidelined for Season Wednesday, June 9th , 2021 When Justin Thompson was hurt against the Orono Oaks, the Walnut Park Bobcats were hopeful that the injury was not serious. However, it proved to be more severe than first thought. The 23-year-old starting pitcher suffered a ruptured finger tendon throwing a pitch in yesterday's game. Team doctors told BNN today that Thompson would miss 4 months of the season. This year, Thompson has a 5-3 mark in 11 starts with a 2.51 ERA. He has given up 43 hits in 71.2 innings, struck out 76 and issued 27 walks. Opposing clubs have compiled a .169 batting average against him. |
