SC's Top Hitter Named Tuesday, June 1st , 2021 At only 21 years of age, Jason Coppa could very well have many more months like this last one during his career. That would be great news for fans of the Chesapeake Tailgators, as May was one to remember for the first baseman and he has captured the Stars Conference Batter of the Month award. On the month he hit .373 with 4 home runs, 15 RBIs and 16 runs scored. In 44 games this season, Coppa has compiled a .337 batting average with 55 hits and 6 home runs. He has also scored 25 times and knocked in 23 runs. |
