Miranda Laces 3 HR Against New Rochelle
Wednesday, May 26th , 2021
It was a good day for the Tucson Raccoons and an exceptional one for Carlos Miranda. The 22-year-old first baseman sent three bombs out of the park to help the Raccoons beat the New Rochelle Purple Wave, 7-1, at Ballpark of Lexington.
"When you're in the zone, the game really slows down," Miranda said when asked about his performance later. "I couldn't even tell you what pitches were thrown. Today feels great, but it is a long season and tomorrow is another day."
For the day, he scored 3 times, drove in 5 runs and smacked 3 hits in 4 at-bats.
Carlos Miranda walked in the 1st, hit a solo-shot off Pat Daughtry in the 4th, struck out in the 6th, hit a solo-shot off Pat Daughtry in the 8th and hit a three-run home run off Mike Deadrick in the 9th.
Miranda is currently batting .254 with 14 home runs, 26 runs scored and 29 RBIs. His OBP is .391.
