4-Game Suspension for Crawdads Gammill Sunday, April 30th , 2023 The baseball commissioner has suspended Crawdads catcher Tom Gammill 4 games for arguing too vehemently on a called third strike in the Westwood game at Jackie Robinson Stadium. Apparently he said the magic words and was ejected by the home plate umpire. He went into the dugout, then returned to the field, resumed his argument with the umpire and had to be restrained by his first base coach. Gammill said he shouldn't have gone back on the field. "I was pretty mad. I was all over the place." In his season totals, Gammill has no home runs, .250 BA, .302 OBP, 1 RBIs and 3 runs scored. He has played in 13 games. |
