Today relief specialist Justin Pierce of the San Diego Fleet joined the coveted 300-save club, proving that he is one of the best in the business. The 30-year-old Pierce closed out today's 2-0 win, throwing 1 innings and surrendering no runs and no hits to beat the Syracuse Scorpions at Peter Seidler Memorial Stadium.
A check of his career stats shows Pierce has 300 saves with a 43-63 record and a 3.23 ERA.
