Campos Fans 15 Nightmare Thursday, June 16th , 2022 Austin Desperados starter Sam Campos brought his best stuff to Dell Diamond against the New York Nightmare, striking out 15 batters in his club's 4-3 victory. In a strong performance, the 24-year-old Campos gave up 4 hits in his 7 innings of work and issued 2 walks. "I felt good out there," he said after the game. "My fastball had a lot of life and my cutter was sharp. It was giving hitters fits and working well for me." In 15 starts this season, Campos has notched a 8-2 record and a 2.92 ERA.
