Baran 5-for-7 Against Royals Saturday, May 1st , 2021 Sean Baran was smoking all game at the plate, but couldn't finish his day with a victory cigar. After the 29-year-old Santa Fe Chiefs center fielder tallied 5 hits in 7 at-bats, he was forced to watch as his club dropped the 8-7 decision to the Cincinnati Royals. "That was no fun," Baran said to reporters after the game. "You hate to lose any game but it's even worse somehow to feel like you did enough to win." Sean Baran singled in the 3rd, struck out in the 4th, singled in the 6th, singled in the 8th, singled in the 10th, singled in the 12th, walked in the 13th and flied out in the 15th.
