Brewer 5-for-6 Against Charleston
Monday, October 26th , 2026
After a 5-hit effort to lead Halifax's 10-8 victory over the Charleston Sea Dogs, right fielder Andy Brewer told BNN beat writers it had been "a special day."
"It really doesn't matter whether it's sandlot ball, high school or college, two hits in a game is nice," he said. "Three or four is better, but five or more is out of sight. And to do that at the American Baseball Association-level is really something special."
The 23-year-old player earned his accolades at Estadio Azteca with a spectacular 5-for-6 game against the Sea Dogs.
"His swing is getting there," said Heathens skipper David Morris, who spoke glowingly of Brewer after the game. "We want him to be quick with his swing, short and compact. We want him to be patient and go the other way when he can. Andy did that to perfection."
Andy Brewer singled in the 1st, flied out in the 3rd, hit a GRAND SLAM off Jim Savoie in the 5th, doubled in the 7th, hit an RBI double in the 9th and hit a two-run home run off Mario Barillas in the 10th.
This season, Brewer is hitting .286 with 113 hits, 14 home runs, 55 RBIs, scored 74 runs and played in 104 games.
