Halifax Takes 2-0 Series Lead Behind 7 RBIs from RF Brewer
As the Halifax Heathens and Charleston Sea Dogs battled through extra innings, it was a rookie who made the difference.

Young Halifax left fielder Andy Brewer, 23 led the way with a strong hitting performance in the 10-inning marathon. Brewer went 5 for 6 with 2 home runs and 2 doubles, while scoring 3 runs and driving in 7 during the 10-8 Halifax win over the Sea Dogs. The win gives the Heathens a 2-0 lead in the best-of-7 World Series.

The game was still up for grabs in the bottom of the tenth. With two out, Brewer hit a slider from Mario Barillas for a 2-run home run. The Heathens, in dramatic fashion, had a walk-off win.

"This house was rockin'," Brewer said.

Game 3 is scheduled for Wednesday at Ballpark of Charleston in Charleston.
