Championship Series Goes the Distance, Halifax Prevails Friday, October 17th , 2025 The Halifax Heathens are off to the World Series after an exciting Championship Series triumph. Halifax downed the Philadelphia Marauders, but needed the entire series to do so, with a 10-7 win tonight at Marauders Ballpark wrapping up the series 4-3. "It's every guy in this room that made this happen. Without us all pulling in the same direction, we don't win this series," said Leo Orozco, who earned MVP honors for a standout offensive series. Orozco put up a .407 with a .414 on-base percentage in the series. He also had 2 home runs, drove in 11 runs and scored 5 runs himself. The Halifax Heathens will play against the San Diego Fleet in the next round. San Diego won their series against the Cincinnati Royals 4 games to 0.
