Championship Series Goes the Distance, Halifax Prevails
The Halifax Heathens are off to the World Series after an exciting Championship Series triumph.

Halifax downed the Philadelphia Marauders, but needed the entire series to do so, with a 10-7 win tonight at Marauders Ballpark wrapping up the series 4-3.

"It's every guy in this room that made this happen. Without us all pulling in the same direction, we don't win this series," said Leo Orozco, who earned MVP honors for a standout offensive series.

Orozco put up a .407 with a .414 on-base percentage in the series. He also had 2 home runs, drove in 11 runs and scored 5 runs himself.

The Halifax Heathens will play against the San Diego Fleet in the next round. San Diego won their series against the Cincinnati Royals 4 games to 0. The World Series schedule will be announced after the Championship Series finishes.
