Host Whistlers Drop Pivotal Game 5, Now Trail Series 3-2

Game 5 was big. So was William Deel.
The Philadelphia starter rose to the occasion at Whislters Park, leading the Marauders to a crucial 5-1 victory over the Boston Whistlers. Deel threw 7.1 innings of 5-hit ball as the Marauders won on the road to seize a 3-2 lead in the best-of-7 Divisional Series.
Deel, who was born in Port St. Lucie, Florida, threw 98 pitches over 7.1 innings, while allowing 1 run.
"William was pounding the zone," said Philadelphia manager Danny Ordaz.
The next game is set to be played for Monday, October 7th , 2024 at Marauders Ballpark in Philadelphia.
