Ziersch Has Hot Hand, Bangs 5 hits Wednesday, October 18th , 2023 Nelson Ziersch exploded for a barrage of base hits at Hannaford Dome. The Charleston left fielder had a field day in his team's 6-2 triumph over the Maine Pines, finishing 5-for-5. "My hitting philosophy is simple," he said. "I focus on just seeing the ball and I try to get a good pitch." Ziersch must have focused at least 5 times and apparently got some good pitches, too, leading to one of his best days ever with the bat. Nelson Ziersch hit a solo-shot off Ryan Flamino in the 1st, hit a solo-shot off Ryan Flamino in the 3rd, singled in the 6th, hit a two-run home run off Dan Mills in the 8th and doubled in the 9th.
