Giants Move on to Championship Series Monday, October 11th , 2021 The Detroit Giants have eliminated the Halifax Heathens and are off to the Championship Series. Detroit won the final game by a 2-0 score and thus clinched the series 4-1. "We think this is our year, but we're taking it one game at a time," said Keith Brosch, who was named series MVP. For the series, Brosch hit .381 with a .435 on-base percentage. He drove in 3 RBI and scored 6 runs. The Detroit Giants will play against the Philadelphia Marauders in the next round. Philadelphia won their series against the Tampa Bay Captains 4 games to 1. The Championship Series schedule will be announced after the Divisional Series finishes.
