Raucous Ghosts Ballpark Crowd Propels Ghosts to 5-2 Victory; Series Tied at 1

The Laredo Ghosts topped the Nashville Lasers by the score of 5-2 and moved into a 1-1 tie in the Division Series today. The largest share of the credit belongs to Laredo starter Lílian Pona, who threw 7.0 innings of 3-hit ball in the win.
In the bottom of the first, Laredo center fielder Skyler Swan had a productive at-bat. With a runner on 2nd and one out, Swan stroked a 2-run home run to left. It made the score 2-0, Laredo. For the game, he was 1-3 with a home run and a walk. He drove in 2 runs and scored once.
"It's a mindset," said Pona. "Just trying to do your job, trying to be consistent."
Game 3 is scheduled for Wednesday at Lasers Ballpark in Nashville.
