Whistlers Hammered by Gilmore, Drop Game 4 to Giants
Handed an opportunity to take a commanding lead in the Divisional Series, the Boston Whistlers could not close the deal.

Game 4 went into extra frames and the Detroit Giants emerged victorious, taking a 10-inning, 7-4 win. Detroit pinch hitter Bob Gilmore went 1 for 1 with a home run, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once in the win at Whislters Park to drag the Giants back to parity. The clubs are now tied 2-2 in the best-of-7 series.

The game was all tied up in the top of the tenth, until Gilmore delivered big-time for Detroit, stroking a dramatic 3-run home run off Mark Dudley. The game-changing hit put the Giants on top, 7-4.

"I just tried to make good contact," said Gilmore.

The next game is set to be played tomorrow at Whislters Park in Boston.
