"He was mixing his pitches real well and keeping his composure on the mound," Detroit manager Sean O'Leary said later. "When Jon does that, good things happen." The right-hander had 10 strikeouts, no walks and allowed 4 hits in the win. On the year Haynes has worked 190.2 innings with 221 strikeouts en route to a 14-8 record and 3.68 ERA.
