Big Day for Lewis as Sea Turtles Down Captains, 12-7
The Daytona Beach Sea Turtles powered past the Tampa Bay Captains, 12-7, at Ahoy Park. Clark Lewis provided some of the pop. He was 3 for 4 with 2 doubles, while scoring 3 times and driving in 4. The setback makes Tampa Bay 59-76.

The Captains had been locked in a 2-2 tie with the Sea Turtles going into the top of the fourth inning. That changed quickly when the 29-year old second baseman Marcos Santiago came to the plate. Santiago hit a 2-run double on a 2-2 fastball from Tampa Bay hurler Jeremy Schroeter. It was Santiago's 14th double of the year.

"If we play like this, we can win a lot of games," Lewis told the Daytona Beach Chronicle.
