Compton Makes 300 HR Mark Saturday, September 3rd , 2022 Halifax Heathens slugging third baseman Austin Compton swatted his way to the 300 home run mark today as the Heathens fell to the Maine 4-2. For his part, Compton chipped in 1 RBI, scored 1 run and collected 1 hit in 5 at-bats, but it was not enough to turn the tide. "It was a special day for Austin," the team publicist said afterward. "He was disappointed at the result, but everyone was all smiles as he crossed home plate. We're proud of him." Compton has a lifetime .290 average and .377 on-base percentage in his career with 1230 hits, 267 doubles, 50 triples, 300 home runs, 865 RBIs and 763 runs scored.
