Gladiators 5-1 Winners Over Indianapolis

Bob Rehm, who is on pace for 205 strikeouts this season, never let the Eagles get in a groove. The left-hander used his bread and butter, his cutter, to pitch the Gladiators to a win, 5-1. Phoenix is now 77-62, Indianapolis 79-60.
In the bottom of the fourth, Phoenix designated hitter Ben Figueroa had a productive at-bat. With runners on 1st and 2nd and two out, Figueroa stroked a run-scoring single to center. It made the score 2-0, Phoenix. For the game, he was 1 for 3.
Phoenix manager Brett Bartlett commended his team for "doing what it takes to win."
