Beckford Clips Heathens for Cycle Saturday, August 6th , 2022 Shiners third baseman Ty Beckford made big news in Charleston's 8-5 victory over the Halifax Heathens. He was 4-for-4 at the plate and hit for the cycle, collecting 1 single, 1 double, 1 triple and 1 home run. "My numbers were gaudy but lots of guys deserve a share of the credit today," Beckford said later. Ty Beckford hit an RBI double in the 2nd, singled in the 4th, hit a two-run home run off Antonio Enriquez in the 6th and hit an RBI triple in the 8th. For the season, Beckford is currently batting .227 with 5 home runs and 25 RBIs. In 77 games he has reached base at a .286 rate and scored 24 runs to date.
