Heathens Get Past Carolina for 5-4 Win
Despite a great performance by Carolina right fielder Todd Korn, the Halifax Heathens defeated the Reapers by the score of 5-4 at Estadio Azteca. Korn was 2-4 with a home run and a walk, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once. Ross Lefkowitz, credited with the win in relief, is now 4-6. He allowed no runs on 1 hit in 2 innings. The Heathens saw their record improve to 70-44.

Dave Davidson took Carolina hurler Roy Walk deep in the bottom of the eighth. His 2-run home run put the Heathens on top, 5-4. In all, Davidson had 1 single in addition to the home run, while going 2 for 4.

"If you want to be considered a good team, these are the kind of games you have to win," said Halifax manager David Morris.
