Lusardi Belts Bunch of Base Hits Wednesday, June 28th , 2023 It was a good day for the Scorpions at Scorpion Stadium as they clipped the Chicago Gangsters, 12-2. It was tremendous day for Tom Lusardi, who was on a hitting barrage at the plate, finishing 6-for-6. "I don't know what to call that," the Syracuse first baseman told reporters after his big performance. "I'm not 'dialed in' or 'in a zone,' I just try to keep it simple. Basically the pitcher throws the ball, I try to pick up the spin, then I hit it. Today I picked up the spin pretty well." Tom Lusardi singled in the 1st, hit an RBI single in the 3rd, singled in the 5th, singled in the 6th, singled in the 7th and singled in the 8th. For the season, Lusardi is currently batting .258 with 3 home runs and 23 RBIs. In 69 games he has reached base at a .280 rate and scored 28 runs to date.
