Torres Breezes to Shutout Victory Thursday, July 18th , 2019 In an impressive mound performance, Melvin Torres of the Tampa Bay Captains checked the Indianapolis Eagles on a 1-hitter and held them scoreless. "He was getting ahead of us and keeping the ball off the plate," said Indianapolis manager Pete DuBay. "Torres kept us confused the whole game." The Tampa Bay hurler rang up 14 strikeouts and issued no walks in his 4-0 shutout victory. His record this season is 1-1 in 4 starts and Torres has a 3.55 ERA.
