Salcido Belts Bunch of Base Hits Sunday, June 13th , 2021 Severo Salcido of the Fire was unstoppable in his team's 7-6 victory over the Oakland Invaders at San Francisco Grounds. He battered them for 5 hits in 6 at-bats. "Boy, I was on the mark today," said the San Francisco third baseman after the game. "I could see the ball real well. It's a great feeling to do this. And besides, 5-for-6 won't hurt your batting average like 0-for-5 will." Severo Salcido flied out in the 2nd, singled in the 3rd, hit an RBI single in the 5th, doubled in the 7th, singled in the 9th and doubled in the 11th.
