"He was patient up there," San Diego skipper Brian Burnett told the press after the game. "I like the way he waited for his pitch and wasn't overly aggressive. Woodside has a tendency to chase bad balls sometimes." Ed Woodside hit an RBI double in the 1st, singled in the 2nd, hit a solo-shot off Jimmy DeMoss in the 5th, struck out in the 6th, singled in the 8th and doubled in the 9th.
