Oakland, Walker Snuff Out Scorpions Thursday, May 27th , 2021 It wasn't easy but Mike Walker made it look that way. Walker silenced the Syracuse Scorpions, 3-0, in a Oakland Invaders triumph at Scorpion Stadium. Despite the appearance of dominance, Walker said that he felt like he was struggling all game. He gave up 2 walks and 2 hits. "It didn't feel quite right today, but I made the decision to bear down and work through it," he said. "I made a few mistakes but it goes to show what you can do with grit and not much else." Walker has made 8 starts, tossed 61 innings, struck out 57 batters and walked 26.
