Premier Player Named by Sun Coast Baseball League
Friday, February 18th , 2022
At the age of 23, Pedro Rangel of the (PHI) Orlando Fire could very well have his best years ahead of him.

It's a startling thought when you consider the year he had in 2021 was good enough to win the center fielder the Sun Coast Baseball League Most Valuable Player Award.

"See the ball, hit the ball," he said. "That's my basic approach."

The top hitter put up a .410 batting average this year, as well as a .469 on-base percentage. He played 38 games and racked up 66 hits, 9 doubles, 2 triples, 24 home runs, 49 RBIs and 52 runs scored.

He received 23 first place votes out of a possible 24. Carlos Barreto of the (PHI) Orlando Fire finished second in voting, while Sam Amy of the (NYN) Vallejo Shamrocks finished third.
