In a low-scoring contest, Spokane pitcher Rich Mack was marvelous, enabling his team to nab a 3-1 win. In 6.2 innings, Mack surrendered 3 hits, while striking out 8 and walking 1. He allowed 1 run. Justin Brownlee earned the save for Spokane.

Shortstop Dustin Andrews made an impact for Spokane, when he swatted a run-scoring double off Ray Mendoza in the bottom of the fifth. For the contest, Andrews was 1-4 with a double.

"Enjoyed this one," Mack told the Spokane News. "But it's back to work tomorrow."

Spokane is now 79-64, while New Rochelle is 61-82.
