Thrilling Victory Pushes Oaks Win Streak to 6

The Orono Oaks defeated the Walnut Park Bobcats, 3-1, in Stripes Conference action at Ballpark of Walnut Park. Orono pitcher Colin Esser had a standout performance. Orono reliever Kevin Weber picked up the win, upping his record to 1-0. Jose Paredes absorbed the loss. Chase Collins earned the save, his 15th.
Who knows how it would've ended, had it not been for Matt Tindall? The 25-year old first baseman Tindall stroked a 2-run double in the top of the eighth inning to put Orono up, 3-1. For the game, he was 2 for 4, including 1 double and 1 single.
"Very pleased with the effort on our side," said Esser.
The Oaks, now 82-61, have won 6 in a row.
