Spokane shortstop Curtis Rittenberry had a 5-RBI game, which helped his team beat the Ann Arbor Z's, 8-2. Travis Thurber earned the win to go to 1-0. He allowed 2 runs on 8 hits, with 2 walks and 6 strikeouts in 8 innings of work. Spokane, now 88-54, has won 10 straight games.

The game was all tied up in the top of the ninth, until Rittenberry delivered big-time for Spokane, stroking a dramatic grand slam home run off Brian Finkel. The game-changing hit put the Selects on top, 6-2.
