The Aces grabbed a win, 4-1, at Ballpark of Walnut Park, overcoming a fine effort from Walnut Park pitcher Nate Ray. Ray went 6 innings and allowed 1 run. The winner was Quebec reliever Casey Danis, now 2-6. The loser was Tony Wooten. Evan Pullman earned the save for Quebec, his 4th of the year.

Quebec used a timely hit from Brian Gates to get the win. The center fielder stroked a run-scoring double in the top of the eighth inning to put the Aces ahead, 2-1. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a difference-maker.

"It doesn't matter if you're 10 games over .500 or 10 games under, it feels good to win," Gates told the Quebec Observer.

Quebec is now 71-72.
