Bruins Lose By a Run at Hickory
Hickory pitcher Frank Sarabia had a large part in his team beating the Westwood Bruins, 3-2. The right-hander kept opposing batters in check throughout the game. Hickory reliever Adam Ryan picked up the win, upping his record to 5-2. Jonathan Marich took the loss. Roberto Salazar converted his 1st save in 1 tries.

Hickory took a 2-1 lead on Ty Beckford's 16th home run of the season. The solo home run, which Beckford hit in the bottom of the seventh, left Westwood pitcher Jonathan Marich visibly frustrated.

"You get some opportunities, you better take advantage of them," said Westwood manager Hasan Raif.

Hickory now sits at 81-60, while Westwood falls to 84-57.
