Z's Deal Quebec 3-2 Defeat
|
Ann Arbor beat Quebec on the strength of starting pitcher Scott White's fine effort. The left-hander led his team to a win, 3-2. Picking up his 2nd save was 26-year old right-handed pitcher Tyler Kraus. The Z's now have a record of 60-80 with the win over Quebec.
With scoring opportunities rare, the Z's had to cash in when they had the chance. One such opportunity presented itself in the bottom of the first, when designated hitter Chih Ren hit a 2-run single. The single came off Sean Torkelson and made the score 3-1, Z's. Ren went 2-3 with 2 singles. He drove in 2 runs.
Ann Arbor manager Mike Boren commended his team for "doing what it takes to win."
