Purple Wave Hand Ann Arbor 8-3 Loss
New Rochelle parlayed a decent outing from starter Kevin Clinger into a solid win over the Ann Arbor Z's. The final score was 8-3. Clinger, now 4-9, was the winner. In 5.2 innings, he gave up 6 hits, while striking out 7, walking 3, and allowing 2 runs. Chris Hinojosa earned the save for New Rochelle, his 2nd.

Luis Casanova aided the New Rochelle cause with a run-scoring walk in the bottom of the fourth. For the game, the center fielder went 1 for 3 with a walk.

"I think it speaks for itself, I think we came out and we played our kind of baseball," said Casanova.

The Purple Wave sit in 4th place in the Stripes Conference East Division with a record of 59-81.
