Luis Casanova had a good game, but he could not keep the New Rochelle Purple Wave from falling, 4-3, to the Ann Arbor Z's at Ballpark of Lexington. The New Rochelle center fielder went 2-3 with a home run and a walk. He scored 2 times and drove in 2 in the loss. Dionísio Manteigueiro picked up the win, improving his season record to 9-5. He struck out 1 in 6 innings. New Rochelle is in the throes of a long losing streak, which is now 12 games.

Justin Grasso, who is tied for 9th in the StC in extra base hits with 39, had a direct impact on the outcome. Grasso contributed a run-scoring single in the top of the sixth inning to put Ann Arbor up, 4-2.
