Nick Beck, who is tied for 9th in the StC in quality starts with 15, had a strong outing for the Quebec Fighting Quakers against the Walnut Park Bobcats at Toros Ballpark. The right-hander was a big part of his team's 4-3 win. Scott Harvey earned the save, his 9th, for the Fighting Quakers. Quebec is now 73-66, Walnut Park 74-65.

Andy Brewer, who is tied for 10th in the StC in doubles with 22, took Walnut Park hurler Tony Wooten deep in the bottom of the eighth. His 2-run home run put the Fighting Quakers on top, 4-3. In all, Brewer had 1 single in addition to the home run, while going 2 for 4.

"We came out on the wrong end of this one," said Walnut Park skipper Perry Glickman.
