Spokane Selects starter Danny Cusack pitched well against the Ann Arbor Z's at Knights Ballpark, leading his team to a win, 5-3. Edward Ness wrapped it up, recording his 2nd save. The third-place Selects improved to 75-62.
Dan Moody went 1-5 with a triple for Spokane. With one out and the game tied in the top of the seventh inning, Moody had a clutch at-bat. Facing Ann Arbor hurler Jim Sylvester, he grounded out, driving in 1 run to give the Selects a 4-3 lead.
"I was able to really locate my pitches tonight," said Cusack.
