Losing Trend Continues for New Rochelle
|
Orono turned a good effort from starter Mickey Green into a win over the New Rochelle Purple Wave at University of Maine Stadium. The Oaks won the game, 2-1. In 7.1 innings, Green surrendered 6 hits, while striking out 5 and walking 2. He allowed 1 run. The losses continue to pile up for New Rochelle, which has now fallen 9 times in a row.
Matt Tindall took New Rochelle hurler Blake Banks deep in the bottom of the sixth. His solo home run put the Oaks on top, 2-1. In all, Tindall had 1 single in addition to the home run, while going 2 for 4.
