Selects Post 4-0 Win Over Hickory
The Spokane Selects picked up a win at Crawdad Park, knocking off the Hickory Crawdads, 4-0. Starting pitcher Shawn Trautman was an essential part of his team's success. Trautman got the win, improving to 8-10. He allowed 8 hits and walked 2 over 8 innings. Trautman allowed no runs. Spokane occupies second place in the Stripes Conference West Division at 74-64.

The Crawdads had been locked in a 0-0 tie with the Selects going into the top of the fourth inning. That changed quickly when the 24-year old first baseman Bryan Bejarano came to the plate. Bejarano hit a run-scoring triple on a first pitch cutter from Hickory hurler Jeff Rochefort. It was Bejarano's 2nd triple of the year.

"I felt good up there," said Bejarano. "I saw the ball well."
