Walnut Park Loses, 6-3, to Hickory in 10
|
The Hickory Crawdads outlasted the Walnut Park Bobcats, 6-3, in 10 innings. Alex Natera played a key role, going 2-for-5 for Hickory. The Crawdads raised their record to 79-58.
Natera had a game-changing home run in the top of the tenth. On a first pitch fastball from Juan Mendoza, he banged a grand slam home run to left-center, giving the Crawdads a 6-2 lead. It was the 4th home run of the year for Natera.
"Our team found a way to get it done," said Natera.
