Starting pitcher Josh Shropshire pitched well enough to help the New Rochelle Purple Wave beat the Denver Pilots, 6-4. New Rochelle reliever Jimmy Carr got the win, raising his record to 5-4. Tom Capasso was tagged with the loss. The winning streak has now reached 6 games for the Purple Wave.

New Rochelle took the lead, 5-4, on Severo Salcido's 7th home run of the season. The 2-run home run came off Denver pitcher Tom Capasso in the bottom of the eighth.

New Rochelle manager William Gregg called it "a darn good win."
