Selects Ballpark was the site of an exciting ballgame between the Spokane Selects and Orono Oaks.
The Spokane Selects picked up a win at Selects Ballpark, topping the Orono Oaks, 5-4. On the mound for Spokane was right-hander Jon Clark. He played a principal role in the triumph. Kyle Schroeder closed out the game, earning his 1st save.
Marc McCain aided the Spokane cause with a run-scoring ground out in the bottom of the second. For the game, the designated hitter went 2-3 with 2 singles and a walk.
"Jon did a nice job," said Selects manager Chris McLure.
Spokane has now won 3 straight, while the Oaks have lost 4 in a row.
