Miguel Berrios was in top form in a tight contest between Quebec and New Rochelle. The Fighting Quakers left-hander helped his team beat the Purple Wave, 3-1. The Fighting Quakers are now 59-76, while the Purple Wave fall to 74-61.

Matt Johnson hit a 2-run double off Jerry Utsler in the bottom of the eighth, which put the Fighting Quakers in front, 3-1. In addition to the double, Johnson had 1 single, while going 2 for 4.

Johnson called the win a testament to his team's "grit."
