The Orono Oaks got a superb performance from pitcher Bill Frazer, but the Spokane Selects still won the game, 4-3. Frazer threw 8.0 innings of 6-hit ball. Spokane reliever Mike Watts picked up the win. Tim Kondas, who is tied for 2nd in the StC in holds with 12, took the loss for Orono. The win puts Spokane at 73-61 this season.

The Selects got a clutch hit from designated hitter Ryan Freeman. In the bottom of the 14th, he hit a run-scoring single to center, to win the game for the Selects.

Freeman told a Spokane News reporter that he felt "relieved" after the win.
