Heat Sneak By Fighting Quakers, 3-2
The Palm Springs Heat topped the Quebec Fighting Quakers, 3-2, in 13 innings at Heat Ballpark. The game was highlighted by the performance of Palm Springs pitcher Carlos Carachure. The last-place Heat are now 56-79, the Fighting Quakers 73-62.

The Heat relied on designated hitter Jerry Guerrero for the game-winning hit. And, in the bottom of the 13th, he delivered, hitting a run-scoring single to seal the deal.

"This place was rocking at the end," Guerrero said.
