Purple Wave Drop Another One, 6-1

The home crowd had a good time watching the New Rochelle Purple Wave and Quebec Fighting Quakers get after it.
The Quebec Fighting Quakers converted a terrific effort from starter Nick Dragon into a win over the New Rochelle Purple Wave at Toros Ballpark. The Fighting Quakers won the game by a final score of 6-1. Dragon yielded 1 run over 8.2 innings to notch the win. He scattered 7 hits, walked 0, and struck out 6. His record improves to 6-13.
Elijah Walker had a big 2-run home run for the Fighting Quakers in the bottom of the fourth inning. With Quebec leading 1-0 and a runner on 1st, he got a fastball from Ricky Valdez, who is tied for 3rd in the StC in complete games with 2, and swatted a home run to center. It was his 4th home run of the season, and more importantly, it put the Fighting Quakers ahead, 3-0.
"If I go out there and help the team win, that's all you can do," said Dragon.
The Purple Wave, at 58-74, have lost 5 in a row.
