The Quebec Fighting Quakers routed the Spokane Selects, 11-3, at Toros Ballpark. Joe Tinson was one of the hitting stars. He was 2-4 with 2 doubles, while adding 6 RBI and scoring once for Quebec. Bobby Carrero was the winning pitcher. Over 5 innings, he allowed 3 runs on 6 hits, with no walks and 7 strikeouts. Jerardo Perez sewed up the save, his 6th.

With Quebec leading 1-0 in the bottom of the first, Tinson hit a curveball from Mike Bruce for a bases-clearing double. It was his 11th double of the season and put the Fighting Quakers ahead, 4-0.
