Aces Rally Late to Nip Selects
The Quebec Aces knocked off the Spokane Selects, 4-3, in Stripes Conference action at Belmont Park. Quebec pitcher and Fairbanks, Alaska, native J.D. Pirillo had an outstanding performance. Donovan Mott, credited with the win in relief, is now 3-2. He allowed 1 run on 2 hits in 1 innings. Jonathan Harvey wrapped it up, recording his 7th save.

Quebec took the lead, 4-3, on Bobby Castilla's 1st home run of the season. The 2-run home run came off Spokane pitcher Tyler Doss in the bottom of the eighth.

"We had the game right there for the taking," said Spokane manager Chris McLure. "But we decided not to take it."

The Aces are now 63-69.
